Meet Your Candidate
As a proud Brooklyn native, I deeply understand how the courts impact families and communities. With my qualifications and life experience, I am confident that I am well-suited to be your next Kings County Civil Court Judge.
I am a first-generation Brooklyn native, born and raised in Kings County, where my parents immigrated as teenagers. Now, I am raising my two wonderful children here in Brooklyn, and I take great pride in providing for them after the untimely passing of my late husband. I graduated from Our Lady of Guadalupe, Bishop Kearney High School, and Saint Francis College before earning my Juris Doctor from New York Law School.
I began my legal career 22 years ago, focusing on family and matrimonial law, landlord-tenant matters, and plaintiff personal injury. As a Civil Litigator for two decades, I managed a wide variety of cases from inception to settlement or trial, including personal injury, family law, matrimonial matters, landlord/tenant disputes, real estate, contracts, and insurance defense. My experience also includes handling cases involving premises liability, labor law, commercial motor vehicle accidents, property damage, and contractual indemnification. I routinely managed caseloads of 80 to over 100 cases.
In January 2022, over three years ago, I transitioned into the Supreme Court system, where I am currently serving as Principal Law Clerk to the Honorable Kenneth P. Sherman. In this role, I research and analyze legal issues across a broad range of civil matters, assist in handling City Trial Readiness Part conferences, hear oral arguments on motions in assigned cases, and conference cases in the Non-Jury Trial Readiness Part. Prior to my current position, I served as Principal Law Clerk to the Honorable Donald Kurtz, where I also heard oral arguments on motions in cases assigned to the Jury Coordinating Part and managed cases in the Non-Jury Trial Readiness Part.
In addition to my extensive legal experience, I am deeply committed to giving back to the community. I actively participate in various bar associations and community clubs to support and uplift others.
I believe my professional background, personal values, and dedication to our community make me a strong candidate for Kings County Civil Court Judge.
